I have a car that is valued at about 1500. If I donate it to a charity, I am only able to claim $500, and have to do a 1040 - with an A form, if the charity sells it for more, then I also can claim that amount -- its a gamble. Is it even worth it, will I see any extra money back on my return. We already have two kids, and make less than 50, a year combined, married. We have no other deductions
